Hola amigos,

Estoy para hacer un curso virtual en lo cual el plataforma usa Horizon
Wimba. Al chequear la configuración a través de la plataforma no
logro hacer funconiar el audio me da el siguiente error:

"Wimba Classroom v5.2.4.1 ( error 290 ) Fatal Audio Library Error"

Al buscar en la página web el significado del error me dice:

"Error 290: Fatal Audio Library Error

Description:

When the WimbaMedia client loads, it will attempt to utilize the
sound devices available on your computer. However, if the WimbaMedia
client is unable to find a audio device to use for the audio input and
output, it will display a error message:

Error 290 Fatal Audio Library Error
"The audio client reported a fatal error.
IAX client cannot open audio device.
Perhaps you do not have an input or output device."

If this message is displayed, it indicates that one of two things:
1. There is another audio application that is running on the
machine.
2. There is no audio device installed on the computer
Solution:

1. Verify that audio is function properly and that your system
can play audio
2. After you've verified that audio does play properly, ensure
that all other audio applications on the system are closed and
exited. These can be programs such as the iTunes, Windows Media,
Audio/Video capture applications but are not limited to them. Note
also that there may be applications that utilize the sound card but
are not actually opened so it's important that all applications are
closed from the System Tray on Windows or the Dock on Macintosh."

A. Tengo un sistema de audio, que funciona lo más bien.
B. He cerrado el SKYPE, pero no tengo idea si en Ubuntu quedan otras
aplicaciones que utilizan el sistema de audio aún si no están
abierto.

¿Cómo averiguar esto en Ubuntu 9.04? - ¿Se puede apagar todo??
Alguien sabe algo.... busqué por la red y instalé audio-pulse pero
nada....
Máquina: Toshiba Notebook Satelite - trabaja sin ningún problema con
Ubuntu 9.04.
